Olokoi marinated mushrooms
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup avocado or olive oil
- 2 tbl Olokoi sauce (hot or mild)
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tbl parsley, chopped
- Few thin sliced of red onion
- Salt and black pepper
- A pinch or two of red chili flakes
- 8oz package white button mushroom (leave whole with stem)
Directions
- Get a pot of salted water boiling
- Add mushrooms and boil for 4 minutes
- Meanwhile, add all ingredients to a container, cover, and shake it up.
- After the 4 minutes, drain the mushrooms and add to the marinade.
- Let cool and then refrigerate for several hours for optimal flavor!
Serving suggestions
- As a side for a meal that includes red meat.
- As an addition to a charcuterie board.
- A garnish to a Bloody Mary.
